Privacy policy
Draft: a lawyer is reading this before Draftlist goes on sale.
The short version
Draftlist runs on your Mac. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no tracking. Your projects, samples and library never leave your Mac.
Draftlist is made by BREAKBOMB LLC (“we”). This policy covers the Draftlist app and this website, draftlist.app.
This website
draftlist.app is hosted by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics.

What stays on your Mac
- Draftlist reads your Ableton Live projects and the files they point to. It never changes your projects.
- What it learns is kept in its own library, in ~/Library/Application Support/Draftlist. Your licence is kept there too.
- Its window keeps your view settings (column layouts, filters, text size and the like), your recent searches and the mini game’s best score in ~/Library/WebKit/app.draftlist.desktop, and a cache in ~/Library/Caches/app.draftlist.desktop.
- macOS keeps a small preferences file for Draftlist, ~/Library/Preferences/app.draftlist.desktop.plist, where its Open window remembers the last folder you browsed to.
- If Draftlist crashes, it writes a note to ~/Library/Logs/app.draftlist.desktop. That note stays on your Mac. Settings ▸ Diagnostics ▸ Copy diagnostics puts it on your clipboard, and you decide whether to send it to anyone.
- Beyond these, it writes only when you ask it to: copies for a playlist, a rack you install.
What is sent, and when
- When you activate a licence: your licence key and a label for this Mac (its model and a random code, never its serial number or its name). The shop’s licence service answers with the email address the licence was bought with, which Draftlist shows as “Licensed to”.
- Each time Draftlist opens, about once a day while it runs, after your Mac wakes, and every 15 minutes while it cannot reach the licence service: the same key and label, to check the licence is still active. Without a check Draftlist keeps working for 24 hours; Pro needs one each time Draftlist opens.
- When you deactivate this Mac: the same key and label, to free its place.
- When Draftlist checks for updates (when it opens and about once a day while it runs, unless you turn that off in Settings, and when you press Check for updates): a request to catalogue.draftlist.app. Like any website, the host sees your IP address. Nothing about you or your library is in the request.
- When you update: the new version is downloaded from the same place, and Draftlist checks its signature before installing it.
Your choices
- Turn off automatic update checks in Settings ▸ Updates.
- Deactivate this Mac in Settings ▸ Licence.
- Remove everything kept for Draftlist on your Mac by deleting the folders and the file named above. Deleting the library folder also removes this Mac’s licence without freeing its place, so deactivate this Mac first if you want the place back.
- Ask us what we hold about you, or to delete it: support@draftlist.app.
