FAQ

Short answers to the questions people ask most about Draftlist.

Will it change my projects?

No. Draftlist only reads your projects. It never writes inside your project folders. It writes only when you ask it to: a playlist's copies, presets copied into Serum Pro, a download. Privacy and your data has the full list.

Does it upload my music?

No. Draftlist reads your projects and sounds on your Mac, and audio analysis runs on your Mac too. The only things that go online are the licence check and the update check.

Does it need the internet?

Yes, at least once every 24 hours. Your projects, plugins and samples keep working for up to 24 hours without a connection. Pro features need a connection each time Draftlist opens. See licence checks.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once. Pricing is announced at launch.

Is there a free trial?

No. Draftlist needs a licence to open. If it isn't for you, ask for a refund within 14 days.

How many Macs can I use it on?

Up to 3 with one licence. Moving to a new Mac takes one click on the old one.

Which Macs does it run on?

macOS 13.3 (Ventura) or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. One download works on both. Pro's sound sorting needs Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or later.

Is there a Windows version?

Not yet. Draftlist is for the Mac.

Do I need Ableton Live?

Draftlist reads your project files itself, so Live doesn't need to be open. To open a set from Draftlist, you need Live installed. Draftlist reads sets saved in Live 9 to Live 12.

Does it find projects in iCloud Drive or Dropbox?

Yes. Projects stored online only are listed, and you can download them from Draftlist. See online-only projects.

Where is my licence key?

In your receipt email, and on your purchases page. Find my key on the key screen opens that page.
